Katz Deli

Date:10/30/08
Meal:Lunch
Overall:Incredible! \(*O*)/
Summary:Jewish style deli, where Sally had fake orgasm in When Harry Met Sally
Top Dish: Reuben

Tips: DON'T LOSE THE TICKET! A guy will give you a ticket when you enter the deli, which is then used to record orders you place. Even if you don't place an order on a particular ticket, hold onto the ticket or you will pay something like $40 for a missing ticket when you exit the deli!

Meal:Dinner
Overall:Pretty good (^o^)
Summary:Fancy smancy Japanese cuisine
Top Dish:Toro Tartare

Tips: Make your reservation on Open Table; it's a pretty good sized restaurant so you should be able to get a table. Morimoto is a beautiful facility, take some time to look around the bar area and check out the restroom (esp. women's restroom). Chef Morimoto was in the restaurant in person the night we went. Our waiter told us that he's there often and usually walks around to talk to customers. Keep on a lookout for him when you go!

Summary:Balthazar is a cute French place located in the SOHO district of NYC. Decent brunch fare. Good place to catch a bite with girlfriends before shopping in SOHO.

Tips: Call a few weeks ahead for a reservation. Balthazar gets pretty packed, especially on the weekends. If you forget to make an advance reservation, try calling the morning of at around 10 am to see if you can grab reservations that were canceled last minute.
